How to do the K Skin Care Routine's Famous 10-Step Method

It's likely that you've noticed that many of your skincare products originate in Korea, or that your Instagram feed is filled with Korean beauty hacks, if you're a beauty fanatic. However, have you ever thought about why this is so? For obvious reasons, Korean beauty trends have swept the globe. As far as they are concerned, layering is more important than the number or cost of your products.

The 10 Steps to follow

Oil Cleanser is the first step in Korean skin care.

Double-cleansing is one of the many methods Koreans use to care for their skin holistically and carefully. We all know that water and oil do not mix, therefore using a water-based cleanser to remove greasy pollutants is a bad idea. SPF, makeup, and your own natural sebum are all removed from your skin when you use this oil cleanser. For two to three minutes, apply it to your face in a circular motion, helping the cells to carry out their activities more easily.

  1. Cleansing Foam

Using a foamy or water-resistant cleanser is a good follow-up to the oil cleanser because it removes the accumulated grime, sweat, and extra chemicals. The 10-step Korean skin care regimen always includes a mild, moisturising, low pH, water-based natural cleanser.

  1. Exfoliate

This regimen's next stage is exfoliation, which immediately leaves your skin feeling silky and smooth like a baby's bottom. Physical and chemical exfoliators are two sorts of products that you should be aware of. Acids like AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs make up the majority of chemical exfoliators. In spite of their scary name, acid treatments are really effective! A chemical exfoliant aids in the removal of dead skin cells and promotes the renewal of new ones on the surface of the skin. Using a chemical exfoliant is a great way to remove the outer layer of your skin, but it also penetrates deeper into your skin.

  1. Toner

The toners used in the Korean beauty regimen are considerably different from those used in Western skin care regimens. When used as the first layer of moisturization after cleansing and exfoliating, these products are kinder and softer on the skin. Rather from being astringent or alcohol-heavy, toners are pH-balancing. By soaking the skin with water, the substances penetrate deeper into the skin.

  1.  Essence

Essence is a Korean skin care step that provides the skin with a burst of hydration. Think of the skin as being like a sponge. A lack of hydration causes it to lose its ability to swell and absorb, but when it's soaked in water, it can absorb much more effectively. Preparing the skin with essence before applying the remainder of your Korean beauty regimen will have the same effect.

  1. Serum

Concentrated in active components, the mermaid marine serums are able to target and cure skin concerns such as dark spots, wrinkles, discoloration, and dullness with ease. Unlike a serum, an ampoule is highly concentrated and can be applied directly to the skin.

  1. Sheet Mask

In addition to hydrating your skin, sheet masks also serve as a barrier that allows other products to renew it. To keep the substance from drying out, the sheet mask is usually soaked in an essence, which helps the product reach your skin. Sheet masks hydrate the skin, remove imperfections, and give it a healthy glow.

  1. Eye patches for dark circles

In addition to moisturising and sealing the delicate eye area, eye creams also contain active substances that address a variety of eye issues. The delicate eye area is treated first in the K-Beauty skin care routine by using eye cream before moisturiser.

  1. Moisturizer

When it comes to Korean beauty products, moisturising is a big deal because it helps keep skin nourished. Because many moisturisers contain occlusives, they should be applied to the skin after other products like essences, serums, and oils. As a result of these components, the skin is protected from water loss by a hydrophobic film (seal) that is formed on the surface of the skin.

  1. The SPF

Sunscreen is a must-have in the daytime, whether or not you plan to go outside. Titanium dioxide and zinc dioxide are the two main ingredients in mineral and physical sunscreens. Chemical sunscreen, on the other hand, has more minerals and works in a variety of ways. Chemical sunscreens absorb UV radiation, convert them to heat, and prevent further damage. Mineral sunscreens reject UV rays.
